Rachel and Jess made an unexpected airplane trip back to Santa Cruz because of Jess's sudden illness. In Santa Cruz we found out it was an ameoba. She is taking a powerful medicine, but is a whole lot better now!
We are the current Eastern Mennonite Missions YES team serving in Bolivia, composed of Rachel Albrecht (team leader), Bethany Weiler, Jessica Dening, and Allison Weaver. Our focus will be on learning the Spanish language and culture while in host families, participating in the SASS program, and working at the daycare at the Stansberry Children's Home in Santa Cruz.
